Part of the southern Tuscany 'tourist trail', certainly, but deservedly so. This simple abbey has a pared-down beauty with its austere Romanesque architecture and this means it is another well-photographed location. I wanted to make a slightly unusual image which combines the abbey, the large cypress growing beside it and the surrounding countryside with its vineyards. Not an easy task, by any means.
