Larches and rowans appear to have some sort of symbiosis going on in places where they can both grow as they are often to be found very close together, occasionally with intertwining branches.

Here I enjoyed the juxtaposition of the lone larch, with attendant rowan, the neighbouring trees and the mountains in the background. It seemed to bring together everything I enjoyed about the Lötschental.
