It's been a while since the last update but I have not been idle! 2025 was something of a bumper year, photographically, with my retirement from a career in IT allowing me to spend more time with my camera. Not only that, but I also had the luxury of time in which to embark on a major re-design of this website. Gone is the old static (and overly fussy) layout with its sombre blacks and greys, replaced by a pared-back look which has been designed with viewing on handheld devices in mind.

Last year marked a transition in my photography with large-format film images taking a back seat as I get to grips with a new digital workflow. There have been several trips, too: from the 'Bohemian Switzerland' area of Czechia last spring to Northumberland in the autumn and a week in Corsica in between. And in a few days' time, I will be dparting for a week or so in southern Spain. But the big trip of the coming year will be to Brazil in September, which will be my first time travelling south of the Equator.

So much to look forward to!
