As we headed towards the Lofoten Islands, we decided to make an overnight stop at Narvik. Narvik itself is a working town with little of interest to anyone other than those enthusiastic about the WW2 battle that took place here. Narvik also happens to be the closest town to Sweden's Abisko National Park and so we drove over to find the whole valley covered in a thick layer of late-eason snow..
