Part of the southern Tuscany 'tourist trail', certainly, but deservedly so. This simple abbey has a pared-down beauty with its austere Romanesque architecture and this means it is another well-photographed location.

The interior has a simple purity about it with only the carved capitals of the columns providing any ornamentation. In addition to that, I was keen to capture the gentle quality of light that filled the space.
