I previously visited this location on a bright Summer's day and I quickly found that image-making would only be possible in a small shady corner. I resolved then to return in conditions of less contrast.

So I had high hopes when I returned on a cloudy Autumn day - to find that conditions were still tough. The contrast range between the bright water and dark, mossy rock was huge and challenged even the greater range afforded by colour negative film.
