Whilst holidaymakers around me were enjoying the warm weather and the bracing prospect of a dip in the Atlantic Ocean, I was perversely photographing the cliffs. And why not? The strata and colours there are wonderful.

Strange looks notwithstanding, I would rather be photographing rock than lying on a windy British beach, wearing next to nothing and hoping the sun might appear for more than 10 minutes at a time.
